Youths from across Canada submitted artwork for Community Foundation Competition
OTTAWA, March 12, 2013 /CNW/ - Five young Canadians are now in the running to have their artwork featured on the 2013 Community Foundation stamp that raises funds for children's charities and school programs. Hailing from Alberta, Nova Scotia, and Ontario, these budding artists will now rely on the public to choose the winner.
The five finalists are:
Canadians can vote for their favourite design online at deliverhope.ca from now until March 29th. The winner will be announced in September. The winning designer will receive a $2,000 Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP) and a $250 gift card. Runners up will each receive a $500 registered Education Savings Plan (RESP), a $100 gift card, and 3 Picture PostageTM sheets featuring their design.
The competition was launched in November and almost 100 entries were submitted from across the country. Young designers were asked to produce artwork that reflects the issues that are important to them.
