In 2012 Canadian film maker Daniel Schmidt released his multi-award-winning feature film "Inner Worlds Outer Worlds" on a pay-what-you can basis. Now a year later he has received enough money in donations and hard copy sales to fund his next film, entitled "Samadhi"
MCARTHURS MILLS, Ontario, Sept. 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- In 2012 the creator of the documentary feature film Inner Worlds Outer Worlds, Canadian filmmaker Daniel Schmidt released his award-winning film for free so that it could be seen by as many people as possible. Daniel made a tough decision to release the film on a "pay what you can" basis, going against the advice of virtually everyone he met in the film business. To the amazement of the experts, in the 12 months that the film has been available he received enough money in donations and blu-ray sales to create his next film.
In the ancient knowledge traditions which the film expounds, the most important teachings were always given for free in order to ensure their purity. Here that practice is continued as this two hour long film (offered in four half hour parts) has been released free at http://www.innerworldsmovie.com.
Raven of the Sacred Path Center in Canada writes:
"Be prepared to be challenged. This movie has the power to profoundly change how one sees the world and oneself. It creates a space of interconnection with the viewer that is rarely experienced in documentary viewing. The film's creator draws from diverse historical perspectives weaving extraordinary visual imagery and music that emphasizes the film's message. It has a quality of authenticity and power that is often lacking in film making and it seems to have no other goal than to assist the collective consciousness in awakening."
The film has generated a passionate following at film festivals worldwide, and has garnered over a dozen prestigious awards, including the Peace Award of Excellence (IFFPIE, 2013), the Award of Awareness (Awarenessfest, 2013) and Award of Excellence (Canada International Film Fest, 2013). Online it is already a viral classic with over 1.5 million views and has been translated to 13 languages.
"Inner Worlds Outer Worlds is the single best exposition on the spiritual 'arts and sciences' that I believe or know to exist in the world." ~ Marc Knez, IMDB
