Executive Onboarding expert George Bradt shares his unique perspective regarding transformational leadership on TotalPicture Radio.

First-Time Leader was inspired by co-author and UK based entrepreneur, Gillian Davis. Thrust into a new leader role with short notice, she found herself with no plan, and no clue where or what to start. Davis (a successful recruiter, who grew up in a family owned executive search business) wanted to adopt the tools in Bradt's executive onboarding book, The New Leader's 100-Day Action Plan -- for first-time leaders such as herself. His response, "Why don't you and I write a whole new book and look at it from afresh?" She enthusiastically agreed. The result is a unique mix of seasoned global senior executive and new generation millennial living a leader's responsibilities for the first time. They both believe a first leadership role is a career-defining moment. "Inspiring and enabling others is all about relationships," said Bradt. BRAVE, a key concept described in the book, is an acronym for behaviors, relationships, attitude, values, and environment.
