WILTON MANORS, Fla., May 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Next month, every book lover with a Richard C. Sullivan Public Library card will be able to read the same mystery novel at the exact same time. From June 3rd to June 18th, the library will offer A Pedigree to Die For, Book 1 of the Melanie Travis Mystery Series by Laurien Berenson, as part of the Big Library Read program.
Instead of driving or walking to the library to get the book and return it later, library card holders can go to http://sefl-municipal.lib.overdrive.com and read the book on their eReader, computer, tablet or smart phone. It's free and there's no risk of late fees.
The Big Library Read is an international program that gives libraries and library patrons unlimited simultaneous access to a popular title during the program dates, creating a virtual, global book club.
"Wilton Manors has always had a strong sense of community and I think knowing you're reading the same book that your neighbors – and people across the country – are reading just adds to that sense," says Richard C. Sullivan Library Director Rick Sterling.
The Richard C. Sullivan Public Library, an independent municipal library since 1957, is located at 500 Northeast 26th Street, Wilton Manors, Florida 33305. Click here for hours of operation and to learn more or call (954) 390-2195.
